The last thing I want to do when Bo and I are back in the United States is spend time shopping. Don’t get me wrong, there was a time when I loved nothing more than spending the afternoon with a girlfriend shopping. After my first trip back the US last October where I spent nearly a half day looking for a pair of tall brown boots only to realize that finding a pair of wide calf size 11 boots in stock is virtually impossible, I’ve switched almost entirely to online shopping.
I have done very little shopping over the past year, instead choosing to spend money almost entirely on travel. But, my Fall wardrobe needs a few key pieces along with some pops of fun thanks to fluctuating sizes. I’ll never complain about losing weight or getting leaner, especially during marathon training, shopping can get expensive.
When I saw that three of my favorite stores (Nordstrom, JCrew Factory, Piperlime and Ann Taylor Loft) were having Labor Day sales, I immediately clicked over and spent an hour last night perusing their sites. Below is what I ended up adding to my closet for Fall. What is on your wish list?

We have the exact style – I love it! I recently bought a pair of leopard Kate Spade loafers like the ones you bought… and I splurged on Rag + Bone booties (Harrow and Newbury in brown and black). I love a good pencil skirt with some leather! I picked one up last season at Anthropologie and I wear it ALL the time in the winter! Cute finds!
Aww yay Kristine. When are we meeting in real life? A nice lil workout, brunch then shopping action? 🙂 Yeah I was going to buy the Rag + Bone but just couldn’t stomach it with our travel budget.
I just bought a pair of new Hudson skinny jeans for fall during the nordstrom sale, but likely won’t be buying much else as I am heading back to school full time. Eeks. I have tried on the Sam Edelman booties and they are SO comfy. They didn’t look right on me, but I sure wish they did because they are that comfortable.

Love the Sam Edelman booties! I just bought 2 pairs, thanks to this post. Exactly the style I was looking for for fall and really affordable. I love these posts, but wish you’d list some of your higher end finds too. I’ve been loving Hugo Boss’s new designs from Jason Wu’s first HB collection. The dresses are right up your alley! Nordstrom also just put some gorgeous silk Joie tops on major clearance.
I’ll have to check out the HB collection Alicia! I haven’t been purchasing higher end finds lately due to traveling and other priorities. But, I’ll most likely do a “what I’m loving” or lusting over post soon!
