Good evening from Geneva!
It’s only 9:30pm and we’re in bed, thoroughly exhausted from the past 24 hours! We only slept 4 or so hours on the flight so it makes sense.
Unfortunately we don’t have Internet or a phone working yet so this weekend will be filled with phone blogs via WordPress!
Once we landed this morning at 9:15 we grabbed a taxi cab for our new flat. Luckily all 8 bags arrived and were able to fit in the taxi!
The rest of the day was spent with the temporary furniture movers, running errands for basics like detergent, paper towels, olive oil, etc! We were also able to squeeze in a delicious, healthy lunch outside in the Geneva sunshine in between errands! Add to that the fact that we cooked dinner in our new kitchen tonight and I’d say it was a pretty successful day!
Glad you guys made it and seems as if you’ve already made it a home!
Hooray! Glad things are going well so far 🙂
How exciting! Has it sunk in yet that you’re really there??
Wow, already cooking at home!?! I’m impressed!
That is some pretty efficient international moving right there! NYC moving days include boxes everywhere and MAYBE a pizza. MAYBE.
The fact that Y’all cooked deserves some major kudos right there! I don’t even know if I have it in me to cook and I only went to work, less than 2 miles from my home. Looking forward to hearing all about your #genevaadventures
Hey, welcome to Switzerland 🙂 I stumbled upon your blog via your Tweet about Matterhorn Ultraks (Still planning to go? I’ll be there as a supporter.)
Enjoy your first time in Geneva with all those new impressions!
What a wonderful first day! Such a gift to be able to do some normal/routine-like things right off the bat!
Congrats on getting there!!! Can’t wait to hear more 🙂
glad things are going smoothly!
Wow! It’s great you’re enjoying your stay there. BTW, I like the photos. It tells so many stories about your travel. 🙂
