What a swell giveaway, Ashley! Hope you’re continuing to have a blast in Hawaii 🙂
I swear by Bath & Body Works foaming soaps. Other than that, I really need help with my entire routine so this would be magical to win 😉
A topic I’d like you to address in the future….BIG future fitness goals!
My most unique beauty item is Clinique Dark Spot Corrector (due to being a poor-applier of sunscreen in the past.)
Question: you always seem to have so much going on and you work full-time. What are some time-saving tricks you’ve learned so you can balance everything?
the best product I have is definitely Olay total effects 7-in-1 daily moisturizer + touch of sun!! it is such a lightweight product and definitely makes you look like you spent a little time in the sun 🙂
What are some of your favorite NYC places to go to in the spring/summer time??
I love Olay face products, especially the lotions with sunscreen for daytime.
A topic that would be great is the details of when you and Bo cook easy dinners- always interesting to learn new meals!
hmmm.. most unique product…my deep cleansing shampoo because our hard water is out of control!
My most unique product I would swear by is Vaseline!!! It’s great for dry skin, any skin irritant and for your lips! I use it every night!
I always try to moisturize my face right after i get out of the shower .. i find that it helps my skin stay soft.
I would like you to discuss more Savannah hotspots 🙂 I live there now and i am always looking for new and interesting places to try
my most unique beauty product would be using neosporin on blemishes. thankfully i dont get them that often, but i have found that a dab of neosporin on a pimple really clears it up faster than any acne medication out there.
My favorite beauty product is Moroccan oil for my hair. It takes my curly to a level of sophistication I never thought possible with no effort at all.
I never thought I would be a Mary Kay girl but ever since I tried the medium coverage foundation my life has ever been the same.
I love Josie Maran argon oil – I use the regular oil as a face moisturizer under my makeup in the morning, the foundation on a daily basis, and the hair serum when I need some extra shine. It’s expensive, but lasts a while and is totally worth it!
I use ponds cold cream – it’s kind of old ladyish I guess, but super hydrating and gets off my eye makeup!
What a great giveaway! I have recently discovered the use of apple cider vinegar (diluted) as a toner and it has been great so far!
I would love for you to talk more about your favorite places in NYC for beauty and make-up!
does aquaphor count as a beauty product? you can use that for everything. but fine – if i had to pick an actual product, it would be my tarte cheek stain. perfect!
my beauty secret is perfume bath soap, like trish mcevoy, by using the soap instead of perfume, the scent is so subtle and delicate, always makes me feel great, instead of bathin in perfume sprays.
What a great giveaway! I cannot survive the winter without Aquaphor! It has saved my lips and skin.
My most current beauty item is the Clarisonic. It’s sort of pricey but I’ve heard it works miracles on your skin. I guess we’ll see! I’ve only been using it for 2 weeks!
As for favorites, I use baby oil to take off eye makeup, and recently tried the Garnier dark spot face lotion… it actually does brighten my skin!
And I guess my most unique routine is that I try not to wear mascara during the week. I love curling my eyelashes and wearing a ton of mascara, but I know it’s hard on them–so during the week, I usually go for the Naked Face Project (haha) and then I feel better about glamming up on the weekend!
I live in Brooklyn so obviously I love hearing about local runs 🙂 I’ve been running about a year and I still feel really “new” to it. Almost like it’s too hard on my joints. 🙁 I think maybe I’m a short distance (wanna-be) runner? lol
My favorite-at-the-moment moisturizer is a kit by Aveeno. Lovin’ the Mauii pics…brings back fond memories of my honeymoon 🙂
A topic to discuss on the future..hmmm, maybe healthy nighttime snacks….something I continually struggle with!
Ashley,
I have loved your Hawaii pics. I can’t live without Maybelline Define a Brow liner. I buy them three at a time because my puny/sparse eye brows can’t be seen without it.
I would love to see more meal ideas for working couples. We try to plan and cook but take out is easier ;o)
Your vacation looks beautiful and relaxing. So jealous. I swear by crest white mouth wash. I use it everyday and I swear it is the only thing that keeps my teeth looking their best without the over sensitivity.
I think it would be great if you could address how to handle a busy schedule, long days and still being healthy. I know you do that a lot but I really get a lot from those balance posts.
One beauty things I do without fail is immediately after shower I put cocoa butter on my skin –I swear it makes my skin healthier!
I don’t know if this is too personal, but I’d be interested in a post on how you and Bo manage to have quality time together despite busy schedules.
Befine exfoliating cleanser and moisturizer are my new favorite products, which I discovered from Birchbox (I subscribed after I saw it on your blog – best decision ever)!
I would love to see more topics on the beauty products you love and time organization tips.
My favorite beauty product is Dior Addict lipstick!
I swear by my nightly facial cleanser I make which is just 25% castor oil and 75% olive oil. I love how it makes my skin feel. So heavenly! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love using scented body lotion as a finishing touch instead of perfume. I love the way it leaves a subtle, yet long-lasting scent all day long.
One question I have is, when you are on vacation, do you stay “on plan” with Weight Watchers? I have the hardest time with this!
I feel like a bit of a traitor entering this giveaway since I work for a beauty company as well but I just can’t resist! My favorite beauty product as of late is golden brown/bronze eye shadow. It works really well with my hazel eyes!
I have super curly hair so I swear by hair products from Ouidad-they work miracles!
A topic that I’d love for you to address is more info about eating healthy while out to dinner with clients/work events (when everyone wants to get apps/drinks/etc).
routine that I swear by: Clarisonic MIA every other day! Love it.
topic for the future: your favorite splurge/save beauty products
I swear by my Clarisonic! It leaves the best glow!
My favorite beauty product currently is blue eyeliner. I have hazel eyes and very dark, almost black hair, so it really adds an extra dimension to my eyes.
I would love to read more posts about staying healthy when working long hours. I’m interested in points addressing both diet and eating as well as fitting in time to exercise.
My unique beauty tip is an Avacado Mask on the weekend!! I love all things avacado and so glad it works on my skin!! I only make it though on the weekends.
I would love to know if you plan on moving back to GA later on or plan on staying in NYC; and which place do you favor running in?
I swear by an Aveeno foaming make-up remover – it’s the only make-up remover I have found that is gentle but also removes stubborn eye make-up!
A topic I’d like to see discussed (someone else suggested it too!) is how to manage a healthy lifestyle with work events, especially when your work is providing or paying for the food/drinks and you don’t want to be rude.
my fave beauty product is Cetaphil face moisturizer with spf …
My most unique (and most simple!) beauty product is a bar of Dove unscented soap – I’ve washed my face with a bar of soap for years, and nothing has ever worked better!
I’d love to hear more about building confidence to become a faster runner. I’m a middle-of-the-pack runner, and it’s hard to know if I could actually be faster than I think I am. How do you know if you’re holding yourself back?
My DDF eye cream is my best beauty item – I use it morning and night.
I’d like to see a post on your top vacations/travel destinations (not sure if you’ve done one that combined all your trips).
I love Clinique everything, but their foaming face wash is perfect for my skin. It’s the only one I’ve ever been able to use almost daily without skin irritation. I sound like a Clinique spokesperson, but I swear I’m not.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Sweet giveaway 🙂 I swear by Urban Decay’s “Eye Shadow Primer Potion” and Dior Show mascara, love love love both products whether I’m doing for a low key or glam look.
I really don’t have an unique product I swear by but I have to wear tinted moisturizer everyday. Its just enough coverage and I love that it has sunscreen in it
thanks for the great giveaway. my holy grail skincare product is new from korres. it’s called the wild rose + vitamin c advanced brightening sleeping facial. i would HIGHLY recommend it. i have twin toddlers and am pregnant with my third so i don’t get a whole lot of sleep. but when i put this on my face at night i wake up EVERY DAY looking like i’ve had a full 8 hours plus an expensive facial. it really is amazing!
i would love to see a post on traveling and eating healthy while staying in hotels and resorts. do you usually get a place with a kitchen or mini kitchen so that some meals can be prepped in the room? or just make healthy choices eating out every meal? do you and your husband agree on this stuff? it’s impossible to eat healthy and travel with mine because he would eat out every single meal! thanks 🙂
Beauty TIp: Once a week, I make a mask out of oatmeal, yogurt and honey. just mix about a tablespoon of each in a small bowl and apply directly to your face with your hands. It is moisturizing and exfoliating, plus the honey minimizes redness and mine is always cold and soothing because the yogurt comes from the fridge! Leave on for 15 minutes so it can sink in and then just gently rinse with water.
I swear by leaving a deep conditioner on my hair for an hour once a week. Any good conditioner will do. I have curly hair which gets dry easily and I’m always told by my hair stylist to not wash it everyday but that’s impossible when I run/workout 6-7 days a week. A good conditioner helps a lot!
I love apricot scrub to exfoliate. Great giveaway!
My Clarisonic has been an amazing change to my skin care. I have dry skin, and using it has prevented me from having dry, flaky patches (so gross). It was well worth the investment!
My favorite beauty product is skin primer. It really helps my make up last all day 🙂
A post I would love to read about would be how do you balance time with your hubby and all the fun activities you do. I always feel like it is such a balance to give myself and my relationship the time they need!
Almond oil is a fantastic moisturizer! As is coconut oil.
I love Dermalogica’s face products.
Love those floss picks so much I picked up a pack for my mom too! Can’t feel beautiful without a clean mouth!
My favorite beauty product is argan oil. It’s moisturizing without being too heavy and doesn’t leave my skin oily.
I’d also love to hear/see what beauty products are your favorite!
I can’t live without The Body Shop’s body butter. I slather it from head to toe everyday when I first get out of the shower and my skin is always smooth and well moisturized. I also used the cocoa butter one on my belly when I was pregnant and didn’t get one stretch mark!
My favorite beauty product is my vanilla frosting lip gloss 🙂 I’m a pretty low maintenance girl with happy, insensitive skin, so all products work pretty much the same to me. But the vanilla frosting lip gloss is delightful to smell.
In the future, I’d love to hear more about your involvement in the Junior League and other society events. I only know of those sorts of things from Gossip Girl, and I suspect GG is fairly skewed.
Thanks so much for the giveaway, Ashley! My unique beauty product is…parsley.
Chop it up like a madman, mix up with a tablespoon of Greek plain yogurt, apply on the face and neck for 20 minutes and think of Boris Kodjoe (or, in your case, your husband) in the meantime. Wash it off and enjoy your pretty, sun-spot-free, moisturized face.
Works for me evvvvery time.
And I’d enjoy more posts by you on your favorite travel destinations.
I can’t live without my Olay daily moisturizer. Definitely need spf on a daily basis.
Would love to hear more about how you balance your busy career and being able to have time to workout & have family time!
Clinique eye cream works wonders.
I have curly hair and I love Ouidad products (Tress FX Gel). They are scentless, which I like for work and for the gym.
What are some of your favorite running routes for shorter (4-6 mile) runs in NYC? Where do you most enjoy running in the city?
I love Origins moisurizers! They are amazing!
I’d love to read about ways you bring the south up north (keeping with your roots)
My favorite product right now is the Clinique dark spot corrector! I’m currently using this and I love the new tone and texture of my skin!
I would love you to do a post on what your favorite products are!
My favorite product at the moment is smashbox bb cream. It is quick and easy and makes my skin look great!
And for future posts, running in the summer heat! It’s a different beast.
My favorite new beauty product is B.B cream! I apply before powder and it’s improved my complexion so much in two weeks… I use the Smashbox one 🙂 Good for summer too because it has SPF!! Thanks so much for hosting the giveaway… I love reading your blog posts every day!
I still use Clearasil facewash everyday. I realize it’s geared toward teenagers but it’s really the only product I’ve tried (of many!) that keeps my skin happy. I may still be using it when I’m 70 🙂
I’d love to hear about your plans for the future (5-yr, 10-yr plan, etc)… thoughts on living in NY city longterm, having kids, staying in your current job industry.
I swear by my Elta MD SPF 50 sunscreen – wear it every day!
My go to beauty product is my cetaphil facial cleanser. There is nothing fancy about it, doesn’t have any scent at all, but it leaves my skin feeling amazing after I wash it. I have been using it for 12 years and can’t live without. A good chapstick is always a requirement too.
I’m addicted to chapstick and I have Burt’s Bees all over my house
My favorite Beauty product is l’orreal double extend mascara.
I love reading posts about how couples handle finances and chores.
My favorite beauty product is Fresh mascara.
One of my favorite beauty products is the Fekkai “Luscious Curls” hair cream. It makes my hair smooth and tames frizz while letting my curls shine naturally, unlike hard-forming gels and mousses. So great!
Thanks for hosting and congrats on a great year!
My must a have everday beauty product is: Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Prime Time! The best addition to my daily routine this year. I also wear it when I am not even putting on makeup because it makes your face feel so soft!
What is your best go to workout when you have had a long day and missed your big workout?
Bodyshop’s vitamin E night cream did wonders for preventing dry skin on my face this past winter. It’s a new favourite as part of my winter skin care routine.
Holy moly! What an amazing giveaway Ash! And congrats on all your blog/social media successes this year — you deserve them! Though I can’t believe you went until this year without getting a single cavity. You must have some strong enamel — I had like 6 cavities filled before I even hit high school. And I promised I brushed twice a day just like everyone else! 🙂
My favorite beauty product is Makeup Forever matte foundation powder. The stuff gives you coverage like a liquid — it’s CRAZY! — but is a compact. I can’t deal with liquid foundation, so it’s a beautiful (expensive, but beautiful) thing for me. 🙂
I always wrap my wet hair in a T-shirt so my curls don’t frizz a crazy amount. It works perfectly!
When my hair is really dry I put olive oil in the ends. Sometimes I will even heat up a wet towel and wrap it around my hair to help the oil really soak in. Works great!
I would love for you to write about your favorite meal in NYC. I am always looking for great healthy restaurants to try.
I always use a face lotion that has SPF 15 in it. It’s great to protect my skin without even realizing it!
I’d love for you to talk about finding clothes for tall(er) people! I have the toughest time finding jeans that fit since my legs are so long (not complaining :))!
Years ago I learned how to make soap. It’s quick and easy, and I know exactly what goes into it – olive, palm and coconut oils. Love how my skin is never dry.
I’d love to learn more about life in NYC and what you do for entertainment.
Congratulations!
🙂

2dogs5catscrew@att.net
I don’t know that it’s so unique, but I am a big fan of vasoline. I use it in extra dry spots like heels and elbows and under my eyes as well.
Chaptick under your eyeshaddow. Holds the color in place – and earns you some very concerned looks from your boyfriend.
Awesome giveaway! I usually don’t spend money on beauty products, but it would be nice to have some! I do spend money on nail polish (Essie and OPI are the BEST), and I wash my face with Noxema at least once a day (twice if I work out/run), and I use mascara whenever I go out…but that’s about it! haha. Ooooh, and chapstick. Every second of every day.
And I’d like you to address how you recover from a marathon, if you could. Thanks!
What an awesome giveaway!
Its not really unique, but my favorite beauty product is Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm. Just a hint of color, but great moisturization!

I just started reading your blog recently and it’s become one of my favorites!
I personally swear by bare minerals powders! Perfect for my sensitive skin and awesome coverage!
I swear by jergens original scent lotion. Its girly but not too girly. The formula isn’t too heavy for the summer, or too greasy.
I would love a post about how you and bo decide when to workout together or when to do it separately.
I love my clinique mousturizer!!

Hmmmm, well I use baby oil to remiove my eye makeup. It works so well and as an added bonus you dont need to use under eye cream!

I’d love to hear you talk more about your personal training sessions at Equinox. How long have you been training and how has your body changed since you started?
Moroccan oil!
I would like to hear more about specific weight/strength training
I love Aussie’s 3 minute miracle for my hair!
My most unique beauty product is Bio-Oil. I use it as a facial moisturizer and love it but most of the time used to help fade scars! It is awesome and only $10 a bottle.

Moisturizer. Will not go anywhere without it!
My most unique beauty item is actually nothing – I only wash my hair about 2-3 times a week, although I do rinse it every day after my workouts. I used to wash and condition every day and my hair was a stringy mess of split ends. Now my hair is thick, really shiny and best of all, it takes months for split ends to show up.
I hate to admit this but when I get a pimple I just “Acnomel” — My mom has always used it and passed it down to me. I swear if you dab a little on the “problem” and sleep with it, you’re face will have cleared up by morning! It is seriously a miracle worker 🙂
